WELC is always interested in connecting with qualified professionals for our Before & After School Programs. We typically look for staff who hold diplomas or degrees in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Work, Recreation & Leisure, or related fields.

Typical hours of operation:
Monday–Friday: 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 2:30–6:00 p.m.
(Some full-day shifts may be required on PA days, Christmas Break, March Break, and during the summer.)

Qualifications often required:

Diploma/degree in ECE, CYW, Recreation & Leisure, OCT, or related area
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
Recent criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screening (usually within 6 months)
Up-to-date immunizations
RECEs must be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Multiple locations may be available, and training is provided.
